ruffles and waves were all the rage on the spring 09 runways and with the weather here in d.c. finally warming up, it’s time to start wearing these pretty, tousled looks. can’t wait to let go of those serious and perfectly-tailored pants and coats, those entirely too stuffy sweaters and stockings, and those prim and proper scarves and boots…which is why the ruffled details of spring and summer’s style are such a fun step away from winter’s straight-edged looks...and why these waves are just as welcome as the sun’s beautiful rays of light.
after a hectic week and weekend (happy birthday to me!) feeling extremely exhausted and worn out. looking forward to a low-key week and some more spring cleaning to get back into gear...

i've always been slightly obsessed with the immense beauty and style of the stunning georgina chapman, co-designer of marchesa. chapman creates hollywood's most sought-after gowns (which i've written about both here and here on this blog).

nothing much to say about his look, but i just had to make a post about him...it's srk on the runway!
