stonewall kitchen

stonewall kitchen has been around for quite some time now, and i've tried some of their amazing jams/spreads once before, but only recently am i sort of getting obsessed with ordering everything that they have to offer. "stylish" gourmet eating is what this brand seems to be all about (had to throw in the "stylish"...trying to stick to the theme of this blog, of course!)

the combos of ingredients they use in their jams, jellies, dressings, and oils are absolutely perfect. the red pepper jelly hits every taste bud in your mouth -- the savory blend tastes like heaven with just a simple cracker (make it garlic or parmesan-flavored if you're feeling fancy). it is so perfect for an after-work snack, and even more perfect for entertaining, as it is just so simple and pretty.

some of their other product titles include:

  • balslamic fig dressing -- another savory concoction that tasted just right with a baby spinach, strawberry, and feta salad.

happy, and stylish:), eating.

alexander mcqueen, fall 2011

aww yeah, baby -- now this is hot. and even though "alexander the great" is missed, new mcqueen designer, sarah burton, is still maintaining his crazy/fun aesthetic. and how! the clothes were futuristic, luxurious, and just plain cool. loved the monochrome layering, the touches of fur, and especially loved the laced-up boots seen in a lot of the looks. plus, i definitely enjoyed seeing all this amazing fashion in the show's chosen color palette -- black, white, and grey.

lavender love

lavender is such a pretty shade...it looks great in everything from gowns to rooms to beauty...it's soft and angelic (with a bit of spunk from its purple beginnings), and when done right, it's striking.

georgina chapman - 2011 oscars

ms. chapman was back in great form at the 2011 oscars this past sunday. i loved everything about her appearance this time (that's in comparison to her golden globes look, which i wrote about here.) it was a very couture-senorita look for me, complete with those lovely t-strap dancing shoes. the gown itself (marchesa, of course) was high- style, with the layers and ruffles of black gathered together at one side, asymmetrical hem, the sheer type of fabric, and the pink rosettes piercing the whole thing with romance. also loved her slicked back hair, and minimal jewelry. beauty!

transitional dressing

this is an older picture of olivia palermo, but her look is still very much on-trend and is very much season-appropriate -- the transition between winter and spring is sometimes hard to dress for...but she combines winter chic black, with airy spring white, bits of flash, and cool attitude for a perfect look.
