absolute perfection at the met gala 2012

karolina kurkova at the met gala 2012 was so stunning. such a fashion-forward, exotic, and just plain beautiful look. love that turban and all those sequins. best-dressed hands-down.

high-tops

i like this sporty/stylish look - just a plain outfit with some high top sneaks and you're done - comfortable and very cool.

high-low hem at manish malhotra autumn/winter '12

wow, it's been so long since i last posted hasn't it! but here's an update for today - high-low hemlines are all the rage it seems - from dresses to skirts and now, even indian wear. lovin' this piece from manish malhotra's latest collection - i think it's a fun trend with lasting power.

genelia d'souza at her sangeet

bollywood actress genelia d'souza looked seriously STUNNING at her sangeet in manish malhotra. one of the prettiest brides i've seen - cannot wait to see the rest of her looks.

sonam kapoor at elie saab couture, spring 2012

interesting fusion look. i don't know how i feel about it, though. it's definitely 'thinking outside the box,' but i'm feeling a bit of a grandma vibe with the shrug and sari together. on their own though, each piece is great - the gorgeous mandarin collar sari in pretty pink, and the delicate yet stunning elie saab shrug.

miranda kerr street style

her sleek & edgy looks come off as completely effortless and very chic. she definitely has that "je ne sais quoi" french vibe going for her.

very, very pretty look. i love dia mirza's fashion sense - always glam, but makes it look so effortless.

pretty ladies, pretty dresses - golden globes 2012

really nice fashion at the 2012 golden globes yesterday -- these were the 4 that i was lovin'

i should also mention that i loved paula patton's bright yellow look (because i love yellow!), natalie portman's hot pink gown (she's back post-baby and looking great) and of course meryl streep - she does her own thing always and just shines. gotta love it.

georgina chapman, revisited

have not posted in quite some time about one of my favorite style stars, georgina chapman. she's now post-baby and looking just as fab as ever - from dressing down a sexy look with a jean jacket, to going full-out glam in a tea-length dress.

sketches by inslee haynes

how amazing are these illustrations by artist inslee haynes?! i spotted one of her sketches yesterday on the blog la dolce vita, and went on from there to view more of her work. i was so in love with all her illustrations - especially the ones revolving around stylish ladies going about their day-to-day activities. even lounging around seems like such a fashionable thing to do through the eyes of this talented artist.

devidas by christian louboutin

though not a fan of this particular design, it is a treat to see yet another designer take inspiration from india. these heels, named "devidas," certainly do represent indian style with the intricate embroidery pattern and  embellishments.
