lately i've been very drawn towards nailhead trim chairs. perhaps it’s due to the studded trend being seen on everything from tailored blazers to gladiator sandals to hobo bags. The nailhead trim adds a unique and tough look to otherwise dainty and delicately designed arm chairs, giving it that ultra-desired pretty slash tough look we all love.
"Ah, the romance of it. A finely designed armless chaise version of a tufted library chair. It's all about the curves: top rolls, back legs arch, silhouette undulates. Flowing one-piece tufted seat and back. Ideal for showing off the rich tonal qualities of leather."
so this week got off to a bit of a rough start, but continuing to move forward with bigger and brighter hopes. of course moving forward in any of these pairs of shoes wouldn't hurt the process...
the jak and jil blog features some of the best street style images i've seen on the web. the blog's owner has a particular interest in shoes and continues to capture the most cutting-edge styles out there with his detailed and intriguing shots. always in step, the jak and jil blog is a daily must-see.
love this painting by carlotta hester...whose exhibition, titled "fresh," is being shown at the govinda gallery. i'd like to see a design like this on a fun little tee to wear in the coming summer months
while going through some old files, i found these photos i had saved from the sartorialist blog. i remember loving these images because of how beautifully scott schuman, the blog's author, captured effortless style even on a rainy day.
