it's been a rather "blah" tuesday, so what else can lift up those spirits than a few glamorous images? these gorgeous items -- from the arrangement of peonies, to the "edgy" nude heel, to the ornately chic office space -- add a serious jolt of glamour to the everyday. i especially love those peonies -- so sweet, so full of life, and so summery.

shoes + more at NY fashion week, fall 2011

the shows and the new designs at any fashion week are, of course, the real stars, but the editors shine pretty bright, too. especially their shoes! imagine eye-catching footwear to get to and from the shows...it would definitely put an extra pep in my step.

but back to the shows -- i've been browsing through the collections on style.com, and i have many loves & likes. lots of cozy-furry-layering happening, which really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. it looks so good and is perfect for fall. hope you're enjoying seeing all the looks from NY fashion week, fall 2011, as much as me.

after all the madness calms, and all the coverage is done, we'll get to see what the strongest trends were...and how they are interpreted by some great style-setters.

while keeping it simple is always a hit, sometimes you've just got to have a little fun. and nothing says fun like mixing polka dots with leopard print. it's the unusual that keeps things interesting and exciting.

cozy booties

it's friday and it's officially fall, and so of course i was doing what every other girl in the world was - online shopping for new boots. and i saw these. and i l.o.v.e. them.

these rugged yet cozy booties by lamb are so perfect. they've got a great neutral shade, a wonderfully soft-looking shearling cuff, cool lace-up ties, a glamorous 5 inch heel, and the perfectly rounded toe. all that's missing is me (or you) in them.

summer 09 has been full of many wonderful, fleeting moments, but has also been a time for reflection, change, and growth.
